Work and Creative Portfolio
Games and Product Work
I have product experience with mobile games at a San Francisco Start-up, Krikey, Inc.
In-depth details about the games I worked on as a PM/producer can be found in the slides below.
I designed the slides using Canva.

Videography
In this story the three siblings are vulnerable with each other for the first time in their adulthood. I gave special emphasis to the reaction and close-up shots to show the unsaid emotions. I also chose to add a video montage to conclude the movie. I did a thorough deep dive of all the video assets provided to me and found b-roll and behind the scenes footage that stitched right, revealed a friendship between the brothers that was implied but not shown on the script.
No Son of Mine, Part 2 - Video Editing Final Project
"No Son of Mine" is a story of three brothers grappling with the death of their Father.
As part of my Advanced Video Editing college level course, I was responsible for organizing the video assets and editing the entirety of the second part of the script. This was my first project applying my newly learnt video editing skills.
I started from a wide establishing shot, then alternated between the protagonists, emphasizing strong dialogue and reactions. I started with full shots and gradually alternated between close-ups. I subtly used cutaway shots for exposition.
This project, my newly earned skills for narrative editing were put to the test.
Jalen's Turtles - Video Editing Project
A conversation about nothing and everything. A recently widowed woman and her brother in law are joking about her adorable child when the conversation turns a little serious.
Another shorter project from my Advanced Video Editing Course. This conversation had a lot left unsaid. There were complex emotions involved and it was my duty to portray them in this one scene.
It's Okay to be Gay - Independent Film
My first step into the world of film production. A product of my first college level film course, but still an important piece. I was responsible for writing the script, the cinematography, casting, directing and editing.
This is a story of a girl trying to find her footing in the world as a member of the LGBTQ+ Community. She is surrounded by support but also people shrouded in bias. At the face of her first heartbreak, a rejection founded in fear, she has to make a decision whether she remains afraid or moves forward boldly.
While writing the script, I had a vague idea of what I wanted to show. I wanted to convey the microaggressions that are often forgotten but have a huge impact on the young LGBTQ+ members. Due to a time crunch I was unable to write conversations based in reality and subtlety. I also should have spent more time on character development. As for direction and cinematography, foresight and planning would have had a major impact.
I hope one day I can remake this film and make it reach it's potential.
Japanese Student Association, Spring Festival
Every March UW-Madison's JSA holds their annual Spring Festival. Our team organizes games, cultural activities, food, Martial arts and Dance & music performances celebrating Japanese culture and the spring Sakura festival. All families, students and faculty are welcome.
I filmed and edited this short trailer to showcase a great event where families can celebrate the spring festival at a home away from home.
Photography
Graduation Portraits
For this project I took graduation portraits for a few of my friends. The project was an informal one but it was great fun. It was an awesome opportunity for me to practice my portrait composition and outdoor lighting skills.
Travel & Miscellaneous
This is some of my informal photography work. Some of the pictures are from my travels but some are miscellaneous scenery's I just had to take a picture of.
